Affordability Energy Schools Not on her website Share

Shelby Labs knows that the right promises get her elected, but her voting record funds her campaign.

Here’s what she wrote on her campaign website, then what she actually voted for.

  • Shelby Labs claims she’ll put money back in your pocket. In reality, she’s voted against raising the minimum wage three times.

    It’s still $7.25 an hour.

    LIE“Fighting For Affordability”“Fighting For Affordability”
  • Utility companies like PECO, see record profits but raise your rates every year.

Funded by their campaign donations, Labs votes to deregulate data centers and create tax breaks.

    LIE“Lower Energy Prices”“Lower Energy Prices”
  • Every time Shelby Labs lets Harrisburg off the hook for school funding, your property taxes go up to cover the difference.

“Fighting For Affordability”“Fighting For Affordability”

Her claim

“Shelby knows that our families are feeling the squeeze of higher prices. While the causes often come from outside the state capital, Shelby is working every day to deliver lower costs.”

Everyone in Pennsylvania is feeling the sting of their groceries, gas, and electricity getting more expensive. Shelby knows you’re hurting and struggling just to put food on your kid’s table, but her promises never make it to Harrisburg.

How she actually voted

  1. HB 2189

Raise Pennsylvania’s minimum wage from $7.25 to $15 an hour by 2029.

At least two Republicans voted for it. She didn’t. She also voted NO in 2023 (HB 1500, Roll call) and in 2025 (HB 1549, Roll call).

“Working Across the Aisle To Lower Energy Prices”“Working Across the Aisle To Lower Energy Prices”

Her claim

“[Shelby is] working to increase energy production and drive down energy prices, saving consumers money.”

Shelby promises voters over and over that she’ll help bring their electricity costs down, but the thousands donated to her campaign by utility companies quickly bring her back for the annual rate increase.

When big tech asks for tax breaks, she gives it. When PECO asks for more money, she gives it. When taxpayers finally get a rebate? She quickly votes to protect utility companies’ bottom line.

How she actually voted

  1. HB 1834

Set rules for large data centers, including state review of their utility contracts and a fund for home heating assistance.

“Record Funding For Our Schools”“Record Funding For Our Schools”

Her claim

“Shelby worked with both sides to pass record funding for our schools.”

A quality education gives your child the opportunities they need to succeed, and these bills make Harrisburg responsible for closing the gap—not our struggling school property tax payers.

How she actually voted

A seven-year plan to fix school funding after a court ruled Pennsylvania’s system unconstitutional, with charter school reforms.

House vote on June 10, 2024.

Not on her website

Shelby doesn’t address a lot of the big ticket issues Bucks County families care about. If three lies can get you elected, why bother with more?

You won’t find gun safety, abortion rights, or voter protections anywhere on her campaign website. Here’s how she’s voted on them.

Gun safety

Shelby Labs was first elected in November of 2020. Since 2020, Pennsylvania has endured over two hundred mass shootings. Public safety should be top of mind, instead Shelby’s voting record supports modified firearms in the wrong hands. This isn’t your grandpa’s hunting rifle, these are the weapons that made gunfire the leading cause of death for children in Pennsylvania

Three of these lost by one vote, 101 to 102. If she’d voted yes, all three would have passed.

  1. HB 1859

Extreme risk protection orders, letting a court temporarily remove guns from someone a judge finds to be a danger to themselves or others.

Failed 101 to 102 on September 30, 2025. One vote short.

  2. HB 1099

    Bans ghost guns.

Failed 101 to 102 on September 30, 2025. One vote short.

  3. HB 1866

Ban devices that convert a semi-automatic gun into a machine gun.

Failed 101 to 102 on October 1, 2025. One vote short.

    Roll call
    Labs votedNORoll call
  4. HB 1593

Require background checks on private sales of rifles and shotguns, the way Pennsylvania already does for handguns.

House vote on September 30, 2025.

Five Republicans voted for it, including Republicans from Bucks County. She didn’t.

Reproductive freedom

Shelby repeatedly votes against women and grieving mothers. From fighting against personal reproductive liberty to deciding how parents grieve the loss of their child, Shelby would rather Harrisburg control your medical decisions than give you greater medical freedom.

  1. HB 1957

Proposed amendment to protect reproductive rights in Pennsylvania.

House vote on December 17, 2025. Came down to one vote.

Voting Access

When your campaign website lies as much as Shelby’s, it’s easy to be scared of informed voters. She swears to uphold your civic rights every time she’s sworn in, but that’s just one more false promise.

  1. HB 1300A01754

Instituted Early Voting by 2025 to expand voting access.

House vote on June 21, 2021.

    Roll call
    Labs votedNORoll call
  2. HB 1300A01826

Eliminated requirement to operate at least one ballot return location per county.
